# Create a new tournament

|| You must create a separate tournament for each category. For example, CATEGORY 2010 and CATEGORY 2011 cannot be included in the same tournament.
If a category needs to be divided, you can use groups instead, and then assign each team to the appropriate group.
Example: Germany cat95 Group A, Netherlands cat95 Group B.

Want to organize a competition from scratch with your own rules, teams, and structure?
With the **Create tournament** option, you can customize every detail: name, format, dates, categories, and more.

1. On the left-hand menu, click the **“+” icon**.

2. A pop-up window will appear with two options: **Tournament** or **Training**.
Select **“Create Tournament”**.

3. On the next screen, fill out all the tournament details:
* **Tournament name**
* **Season or category**
* **Sport**
* **Tournament logo**
* **Visibility**: choose whether the tournament will be **public** or **private**
* **DRAFT option**: enable this if you want players to request to join teams or if you'd like to search for them
* **Days the tournament will be played**
* **Registration fees** (if applicable)
* **Location** of the venue where the tournament will take place

|| All of this information (except the selected sport) can be edited later from the tournament’s settings menu.

4. Once you've created your tournament, you can **share it via Facebook or WhatsApp**.
